Legend of Angels
Long ago in the anicent time, there was peace among the land, harmony among all creatures. The men of the world worked honest work, and enjoyed blissful nights under the watchful eyes of the angels. One day, Umbra, the brother of Aurora and keeper of the night, was corrupted by the temptation, seduced by power that the demon, Malum, offered him. Umbra, under the encouragement of Malum, used his powers and plagued the world in an endless darkness. Umbra then used his power to turn stone the color of the darkest night, imbuing the stone with his darkness, so that only the strongest of metal could break it. Using his new stone, Umbra built an arch and through the arch came the demons from the otherworld. Men were now prey to these beasts, they huddled in their homes, fearing the outside world and what was banging at the door. They cried to the heavens, asking when the world would be theirs again.
Aurora, an angel of such beauty, was the first to hear the cries of Men and descended on the world, using her power of light to end the night and force the creatures of the night to flee or perish where they stood. Aurora had given the people back their world, but she could not do it for long. Destroying the darkness and spreading light to the world took a lot of energy from Aurora and the world would be once again plagued in darkness. Aurora sought out her brother in the world, hoping to get him to end the night, but whom she encountered was not her brother. Malum stood waiting for Aurora in front of the Arch. Aurora demanded that the demon release her brother, but Malum refused as he was not holding Umbra, Umbra had given himself over willingly. Malum offered Aurora a chance to join him as his wife, as he could not help but admire Aurora’s beauty as well as her ability to nullify her brother’s darkness, even if it was a only for a while. Aurora refused Malum’s offer and Malum attacked her.
After using much of her power to bring light back to the land, Aurora would not stand much of a challenge to anyone, let alone the Demon Dominus Malum. As a fleeting effort, Aurora used her power to blind Malum but the blindness did not last long and Malum attempted to strike Aurora down. A sword shot down from the heavens and landed in the ground, creating a wall of fire between Aurora and her attacker. Down from the heavens descended the angel, Atariel whom saw Aurora in danger and rushed to her aid. Atariel picked up his sword and fought the demon, driving the demon back into the Arch where he came from. Atariel then turned to Man and spoke. He told them to stand, he told them to fight, he told them to not let the night swallow them, that they were not alone and that he was with them. With his bravery and courage, he inspired Man. He then told Aurora to return to the heavens and rest but to tell the other angels of Umbra’s treachery. As Aurora returned to the heavens, she did as Atariel asked and spread his word. Upon hearing this, four other angels descended to the world to aid Atariel.
Xana and her infinite knowledge taught Man. She taught them how to make iron protectors, she taught them to create, to create weapons to protect themselves. To create ailments to heal them, to create poisons to hurt the darkness. Vita sculpted the world in favor of Man, creating caverns and dungeons in hope to confine the creatures, and showing Man how to recreate what was destroyed by the creatures. Raal showed Man how to use the environment their advantage and what the creatures could and could not do. He also taught Man how to make allies with the other creatures of the light. And Atariel, Atariel trained them to fight, to fight the darkness. He trained them to be warriors and taught them not to fear the creatures of the night nor the demons and offered to lead them in the fight against night.
With Atariel at their head, Man struck back against the creatures and the demons. Atariel found Malum among the demons and took up his sword against him. Atariel and Malum fought and the battle stopped, all eyes on them. The savior of Man and the Demon Dominus, which of the two would overcome the other and win? Atariel went for the final blow against Malum but Umbra jumped in the way, forcing Atariel to stop as he did not want to kill his friend. Malum saw this moment of hesitation and stabbed Atariel. Malum towered over Atariel’s fallen form, poised to destroy Atariel but Man stood in his way. Dozens of men whom had been fighting by Atariel’s side, came to his fallen form, standing in between Atariel and Malum. Malum demanded they move or he would kill every one of them and yet Man did not move. Atariel stood, declaring the bravery of Man and ordered them to move so he may finish his fight.
A storm began as Atariel and Malum fought again, seemingly equal against the other but it was Atariel that landed the final blow in the end, and Malum fell down to the world. Umbra screamed in anger, outraged at Atariel’s actions and used his darkness to overwhelm Atariel and his men. Light pierced the darkness and light shined across the land, marking Aurora’s return to the world of Man. With the rising dawn, Man fought the overwhelming odds as Atariel flew after Umbra. Atariel found Umbra on an island, awaiting his arrival. Umbra used his power to encase himself and Atariel in a barrier so none would interfere in their battle. Umbra wasted no time attacking Atariel, forcing his friend to defend himself. Atariel defended himself well, but there was something different about him, he wasn’t attacking Umbra. Umbra became furious, he demanded that Atariel take him seriously and fight. Atariel relunctantly agreed to.
On the dawn of the third day of their fight, Atariel landed the fatal blow on Umbra. He held his dying friend within his arms and with his dying breath, Umbra told Atariel that he did not regret a thing. Atariel merely told his friend he wished he could say the same thing before closing Umbra’s eyes. As Umbra’s barrier was broken, Atariel dropped his sword and picked up his friend. He showed Man what he did, he showed Man that he killed his own kind, he killed his friend all for the sake of man. Atariel never returned for his sword but instead flew back to the heavens with the body of his friend in his arms.
Though Umbra was dead, some of his evil could not be reversed but Aurora promised to help Man as much as she could, destroy the creatures of night at the rise of every new dawn.
And that is the Legend of the Angels
Should be writing something constructive instead of writing out a legend for a Minecraft server, but no cares ever… Gonna keep writing it
Hilarity Ensues
So I get tired of walking through my house and seeing on unoccupied TV such crap as Jersey Shore or Secret Life of American Teenager. I get embarrassed, I get embarrassed for whomever was willingly watching that crap, which would be my sister.
Today I made fun of one of her shows (Secret Life) and she got pissed, retorting that the anime I watch is stupid… I saw the opportunity for gold and took it. I told her to give me one reason, one reason why my anime is worse than her shows. That’s it, one reason, I would do the same, just to get a discussion.
I said that the Secret Life of American Teenager was stupid because it supports high school drama and Teen Pregnancy. I said that the show makes it seem okay to have kids and get married while still in high school, something I personally disagree with. I thought this was a good reason, it made sense and it was something I personally agreed with myself.
She said that anime was stupid because there is such thing as anime porn… And that everybody is the moment I burst out laughing. I was laughing for two reasons; 1. Because of the sheer stupidity of that statement, and 2. Because of how easy it was to crush this statement.
Because I was laughing too hard, my brother took it upon himself to prove why my sister’s a freaking idiot. This is a word by word reply of what my brother said;
Jared- “Anime is stupid because there’s such thing as anime porn? Megan you realize there’s such thing as real porn right? By your logic, you wouldn’t be able to watch anything. Claiming that something’s stupid just because there’s porn of it is completely stupid.” *My brother continued this point by listing off several things that have porn versions of it and explaining Rule 34 of the Internet*
Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep a word by word reply after that because I forgot some of the things my brother listed off and then my dad going off to explain to my sister how anime porn came to be
… I’ll assume I won the argument…
And while I’m at it, here those pictures of Dex, Dawn, Reyes, and Emilia I promised… I don’t think they are the greatest but meh
They still need to be inked and scanned, except for Reyes who only needs to be scanned
As I’ve probably told a few of you, I’ve already started a new idea for the story I’m going to write after CyberRider is finished…
It’s going to be a Steampunk/Victorian Era story and I’ll try to put out as much detail as I can as I think of it.
These two are incomplete, non-inked, and unscanned drawing templates (taken by my ipod) for the (as of now) unnamed main character and one of his creations, Grover.
